All aspects of running and the role of influencers in promoting brands will be under the spotlight at this year’s OutDoor Friedrichshafen trade show. The Runner’s World Run & Trail Summit will present several running-related lectures during the show, while several conferences will look at the use of influencers in promotions.
The state of trail running (especially among women), hosting successful running events, technical innovations in running and trail running moving to cities, will be some of the topics discussed by experts participating in the Run & Trail Summit.
Apart from several talks on the value and use of influencers, bloggers will receive special attention during the show, for example, with a dedicated area.
The use of online and technology in-store, changing business models in retail, ergonomic product designs, upcoming colours and trends in outdoor clothing, and sustainable textiles, manufacturing and events, will also be discussed during outdoor conferences.
The European Outdoor Group will also present their annual update of the state of the outdoor market, based on their market research and member surveys.
This year’s show takes place from June 18th to 21st. The 2018 dates are 17–20 June and in 2019 it will be held from June 23 to 26.
Messe Friedrichshafen has also been organising the Asia Outdoor show in Nanjing, in collaboration with the Chinese Outdoor Association (COA), for the past twelve years. This year a new theme, Outdoor Travel, has been introduced and the Running Village has been upgraded.
Apart from exhibits from over 480 Chinese and international outdoor companies showing products from about 660 brands, there will be several seminars and panel discussions. The Outdoor China Summit will be held at the venue a day before the expo opens. The show is also supported by the European Outdoor Group and therefore attracts many well-known European brands.
One 12 000m2 hall will be devoted to the Outdoor Travel theme, where companies specialising in camping, outdoor travel, off-road driving, outdoor clubs and online travel agents, etc. will exhibit their goods and services. The organisers are also planning interactive events around the outdoor traveling theme, including matchmaking meetings, product launches, and workshops.
In addition, visitors can participate in various outdoor activities offered in the Running Village, Tent City, and Water Sports Village, including night trail running and a climbing competition.
The 12th Asia Outdoor trade show is to take place in the Nanjing Int’l Expo Convention Center, from June 29 to July 2, 2017.
