The latest Springbok jersey, launched yesterday, features modern additions to the traditional green-and-gold.
The tight fitting jersey has minimum underarm seams for comfort, and reinforced body and neckline seams for added strength when the jersey is stretched and it snaps back to its original position. The gold collar, which has a quick-release snap closure, adds “a touch of class”, and images of mini Springboks prancing across the chest and back area are included for added detail.
“It is a meticulously designed and engineered jersey to give the Springboks the blend of comfort and performance to give them the edge on the field,” says SA Rugby CEO Jurie Roux. “Every detail is designed to benefit the wearer’s performance.”
“At ASICS, we are committed to not only providing the players with the best technical apparel and footwear products but also to give supporters a jersey that they can be proud of and get behind the team,” says Brian Kerby, GM ASICS SA.
The new Springbok jersey will be worn for the first time against France during the Castle Lager Incoming Series, but is already available to supporters.
