Not only was Skechers Performance the title sponsor of the recent Los Angeles Marathon, but its own athlete, Weldon Kirui, was first to cross the line. This is Kirui’s fourth marathon win and the second time in three years that he has won this specific one, and this year he also beat his previous Los Angeles Marathon time. It is also the third year that Skechers Performance is the title sponsor of the marathon.
Kirui wore a pair of the GOmeb Speed 5 and has been a Skechers Performance elite athlete since 2016.
Meb Keflezighi, Olympic medalist and Skechers Performance elite athlete, and David Weinberg, Chief Operating Officer of Skechers, held the finish tape.
