The SAFTAD fishing tackle trade show will not be held in August this year due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 lockdown and the current ban on events until we reach Level 1.

After weighing up the pros and cons, the SAFTAD committee decided to cancel the show this year during an online meeting held on Tuesday 28th April.

“The committee will be liaising with the trade to see if it is viable to run a show early in the New Year 2021 and again in August 2021,” says chairman John Pledger. “All things being equal, the August show will definitely go ahead in 2021.”

A firm decision about a show to be held early in 2021 will be made within the next month, he adds.
