The ISPO Digitize Summit aims to show manufacturers and retailers the best ways to seize new digital opportunities and how to apply digital tools. The summit takes place at the end of this year’s OutDoor by ISPO trade show.

“The digital world turns fast,” says Christoph Rapp, Project Manager of the ISPO Digitize Summit. “It seems like new means of communication and tools are created every day. This changes consumer behaviour and the requirements faced by manufacturers and retailers. Digital know-how is becoming a core skill in many company divisions so that customers can be reached in the right way and processes can be efficiently designed.”

Some of the highlights among the presentations and workshops include:

  • The potential of voice technology (such as used in smart speakers, for example Amazon’s Alexa and Google Home) and how it can be used in the sports industry. Daniel Sprügel, the founder and owner of Sports Maniac will present this topic.
  • How to boost conversion rates through digital customer interaction is another topic that attendees can look forward to and will be presented by Tanja Wimmer, Project Manager for Innovation & Labs at Wirecard.
  • Digital order portals can create continuous communication channels between manufacturers and retailers and, thus, optimal product management. Reinhold Wawrzynek, a member of the Management Board and COO of MobiMedia, will show how a new digital order rhythm and the integration of the order portal into the sales management system can be achieved.
  • A presentation on omni-channel and the next digital trends and technologies by Dr. Moritz Hagenmüller, Managing Director of Accenture.
